BACKGROUND
The genesis of the Statewide Water Education Action Plan (SWEAP) was the Colorado Water Plan, launched at the end of 2015. That comprehensive plan, developed as a grassroots effort tied to the regional river Basin Roundtables, is intended to be a roadmap for meeting the state’s water demands by 2050 without compromising its diverse values for water use, management and stewardship.
